1. Get 7-zip at http://7-zip.org/; it unzips/zips almost any zip format out there. It also supports a new 7z zip format which is pretty good. Yes its free!
2. BugMeNot Firefox Extension: You can avoid mandatory registrations in some of the websites by using this extension. Install it in FireFox and right-click in a username or password field and click on the "Login with BugMeNot" option!
3. This is an awesome tool: VideoDownloader Firefox extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2390/
